David J.S. Madgett

Dave is an accomplished litigator who honed his skills while serving in the United States Air Force. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia, Dave started his legal career by working as a Judge Advocate and Chief of Justice in the military. As head of the justice division and special prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit, he investigated and prosecuted sexual assault cases in the USAF. Dave is a noted military officer, and he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal in 2013.

Dave applies his legal training and experiences to best serve the clients of Madgett Law. Although he has represented a variety of institutional clients in his positions at Dorsey & Whitney, Merrill Lynch, and State Street, he is most proud to represent individual consumers who have been treated unfairly by banks and businesses.

Dave enjoys many hobbies, including sailing, skiing, running, and keeping up with his 4 young children. Dave is also an active member in the Minneapolis Club and Minikahda Club.
